What is Search Engine Optimization? Search Engine Optimization is a way or technique to make a website or blog be on top of the page in a search engine, such as Google, Bing, Yahoo. For example, Vania makes a blog about food. After Vania's blog had been optimized, if you search for the word 'food' in a search engine, Vania's blog will appear on top of the page.

What are the advantages of SEO?
1. According to CTR researches, 62% of search engine users click the first site they see on top of the page.  
2. Your site/blog will look credible.
3. It will increase your site's traffic/viewers.

Let me tell you a simple history explanation on SEO! According to Danny Sullivan, the word Search Engine Optimization was first used on the 26th of July, 1997. During that time, the algorithm wasn't complicated, it was very easy to manipulate. Some webmasters manipulated the algorithm causing the search engines to be inaccurate.

In 1998, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, two graduates from Standford University, created Backrub. Backrub is a simple search engine that relies on a more complex algorithm to rank the sites on a search engine. Backrub was then developed into Google. Google easily gained the trust of search engine users because they give high quality search results. 

So, Search Engine Optimization is very useful in the internet nowadays. It can help sellers gain more popularity and increase their profits, Search Engine Optimization is not hard! Look for the way in Google and you will be able to make your sites #1 on Google.
